I see stars and moonlight,
And you can see them too.
And as they sing their songs,
I think of you.

Tonight I can hear your heart breaking,
Like a child who’s barely alive.
And how I wish I could be there to tell you,
That it will be fine.

For though the road that’s less travelled is wondrous,
There’s a silence that burns like a fire.
And I know it because I have seen it,
On dark, gloomy spires.

There are paths you will take I can’t follow.
There’s a peace I’m unable to give.
But when it feels there’s no place you can run to,
There’s a hope in which you can live.

Let all your tears of sadness,
Becomes anthems of joy,
As you rest inside the love of our Father’s word.

There are mountains and oceans between us,
A distance that I cannot close.
And I know there’s a darkness around you,
Amidst all your foes.

But there’s no distance of which you can run to.
No depth of your soul He can’t go.
He’ll find you despite all the shadow,
And He’ll lead right back to His throne.

So, let all your tears of sadness,
Become anthems of joy,
As you rest inside the love of our Father’s word.

Let all your cries of sorrow,
Become songs of endless joy.
And find rest inside the love of our Father’s word.
